I made this romper suit using sock wool, purchased in an American store. It is not quite the same ply as we have in England, but it is the equivalent of 4 ply. The wool is designed for knitting socks and knits up in an attractive fair isle pattern without having to keep changing wool.
By knitting a larger garment, the pattern alters itself and interesting variations occur.
